Greetings from Mumbai, a City of Islands and Commercial Capital of India!

We welcome you to the 12th International Conference of Laboratory Animal Scientists’ Association (LASA), India, on “Harmonization of Management of Animal Facilities and Improving Quality of Research Animal Production” to be organized by ACTREC, Tata Memorial Centre, Navi Mumbai during November 29- 30, 2024 at CIDCO Exhibition and Convention Centre, Vashi, Navi Mumbai.

This conference aims to bring together LASA members, leading experts, animal research scientists, and professionals in the field of animal facility management and research animal production to discuss innovative strategies, share best practices, and explore the latest advancements in the management of animal facilities and production of quality research animals. This conference also aims to facilitate networking and collaboration among professionals from academia, industry, research institutions and regulatory bodies to drive forward the field of animal research by understanding and adopting the standards set during the two-day deliberations. The event will highlight the participation of eminent speakers, scientific collaborators, academia/ research institutions including pharma, biotech, CRO’s and students with presentations and poster sessions related to the theme of the conference. Two pre-conference workshops will also be conducted on November 28, 2024 in ACTREC, Navi Mumbai on the topics 'Highlighting Importance of Speciality Program of Indian College of Laboratory Animal Medicine' (ICLAM); and ‘Enhancing Animal Research Quality by Improving Animal Welfare - The International Standards’.
